Visit us

Our quiet corner of paradise doesn’t come with big box stores or crowded tourist attractions, and we like it that way. We have our ways of relaxing and getting away from it all here in Hot Sulphur Springs, and they all come with the generous help of friendly neighbors and small-town charm.

Town

Our lovely, little town is nestled in the mountains along Highway 40 at the mouth of Byers Canyon and the foot of Mount Bross.

Once home to one of the nation’s first ski resorts and now, the county seat of Grand County, Hot Sulphur Springs is steeped in local history and old-fashioned appeal.

From down-home cooking and hospitality at one of our local eateries to a friendly, quiet place to stay, we’ve got just what visitors are looking for!

During our idyllic mountain summer season, if you prefer hiking and biking there are trails to die for, plus access to climbing, camping, and some of the best fishing you can find on the Colorado River. If you enjoy more organized sports, we have local proximity to 4 golf courses, as well as river rafting and horseback riding. The splendor of Rocky Mountain National Park is only a short drive away, and we are surrounded by the Arapaho National Forest and the Hot Sulphur Wildlife Area.

Hot Sulphur Springs Resort & Spal

Our historic hot pools or “magic waters” have been blessed by the spiritual leaders of the Ute Indian tribe.

Snowshoeing, sledding, and snowmobiling are favorite winter activities and if you’re into skiing or snowboarding, we’re less than 40 minutes from two major ski resorts (Winter Park Ski Resort and Ski Granby Ranch.)

After all that activity, you’ll want to come back and have a soak at our world-famous Hot

Sulphur Springs Resort and Spa. Grab a quick massage after your soak and you’ll be ready to go out and do it all again tomorrow! Click here for more information on things to do.

So come on up for a visit. Whether you stay for a day or a lifetime, Hot Sulphur Springs is a great place to be!
